# Strike to hit Pacific National coal and grain trains | Newcastle Herald | Newcastle, NSW

> Pacific National train drivers from the Rail, Tram and Bus Union will strike for 48 hours from noon Saturday, halting coal trains into Newcastle and Port Kembla. The union has deferred further action for a fortnight after a Fair Work Commission hearing, but the company says the stoppage is still proceeding despite a recommendation for no protected action.
