# Ban on palm oil to profit rapeseed and soy - Food & Agribusiness

> Rabobank analysts say a potential EU ban on palm oil in biodiesel would require Indonesia and Malaysia to find up to 2.6 million tonnes of alternative export markets. The EU Parliament voted in January 2018 for a ban from 2021, but the measure is not yet final and still needs trilogue negotiations.
