# The drop in demand puts pressure on prices on sunflower

> Demand for Ukrainian sunflower seed eased slightly as manufacturers increased offers and export demand for sunflower oil weakened amid large crude oil stocks in ports. Sunflower oil FOB prices fell $10/t to $755-765/t and seed prices dropped 50-100 UAH/t. APK-Inform cut its 2017/18 Ukrainian sunflower oil export forecast to 5.15 million tonnes.
