# US chilled pork to help cool HK inflation - Asia Times

> The first shipment of US chilled pork arrived in Hong Kong by sea and went on sale at more than 100 supermarkets from Friday. The US Meat Export Federation said shipping in bulk saves cost compared with air freight. Hong Kong's average live pig auction price fell 17% on the day to HK$2,450 per 100 catties.
