# U.S. Ethanol Exports Slide in May; DDGS Shipments Remain Robust

> US ethanol exports fell 43% from April to 91.9 million gallons in May, a four-month low, according to government data analyzed by the RFA. Canada overtook Brazil as the top market while Brazil and China shipments were restricted by trade barriers. DDGS exports held roughly steady at about 994,000 metric tons.

## Why it matters

Weaker ethanol export demand trims co-product flows, while steady DDGS volumes keep feed demand firm; the shift toward Turkey and Mexico matters for DDGS pricing as China trade barriers persist.
