# Russia targets meat exports increase by 2023

> Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Gordeyev said Russia could raise meat exports from 300,000 tonnes in 2017 to 1 million tonnes by 2023 by removing barriers in the EU and China. Industry body NMA cited ASF and avian influenza as constraints. The EU banned Russian poultry imports on July 16.
