# Senators ask EPA to increase RVOs for advanced biofuel, biodiesel  - Amy in the News - U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar

> Senators Patty Murray, Roy Blunt, Heidi Heitkamp and Chuck Grassley led 35 other senators urging EPA to raise biomass-based diesel and advanced biofuel volumes in the final RFS rule. The senators cited EPA's June 2018 proposal of 2.43 billion gallons for 2020 and 4.88 billion gallons for 2019. They also said every 500 million gallon increase in biodiesel production supports about 16,000 jobs.
