# Soybean oil production increased in September - McKeany-Flavell

> NOPA members reported crushing 160.8 million bushels of soybeans in September, up 18 percent year over year and slightly above August. Soybean oil production reached 1.85 billion pounds, up 1 percent from August and 15 percent from a year earlier, while oil stocks fell 6 percent from August. USDA forecasts 2017/18 soybean oil ending stocks above 2.2 billion pounds.
