# Trump’s trade war sees US soybean exports heading south

> Maritime Strategies International reports US soybean exports fell 41% year on year in September and October, with shipments to China down 96%. Exports to other destinations rose 86%, and China imported only 67,000 tonnes of US soybeans in September versus 2.9 million a year earlier, due to a 25% Chinese tariff.
