# Malaysia reviewing palm oil export taxes amid bulging stockpiles

> Malaysia is reviewing its palm oil export duty structure to boost demand and reduce stockpiles that have reached their highest in nearly 18 years. Palm oil fell to a three-year low earlier in December and traded near 2,108 ringgit a tonne on Wednesday. Indonesian palm, sold at sharp discounts, is taking share from Malaysian exports.
