# Peru: Carriers reach an agreement with the Government

> Cargo transport guilds in Peru ended a six-day strike that blocked roads in Arequipa, Ancash, Piura and Lambayeque after reaching an agreement with the government. The deal cuts diesel prices at Petroperu by 0.59 soles per gallon, suspends a toll for five months, and extends the GPS compliance deadline without penalties.

## Why it matters

Road transport disruption in Peru slowed the movement of goods, including feed and agricultural products, and the resolution eases logistics constraints. The fuel price cut lowers hauling costs, though the effect on feed ingredient prices is limited.
