# Legislation introduced to make biodiesel tax credit permanent

> Iowa Rep. Cindy Axne introduced legislation to make the second-generation biofuel producer tax credit permanent, worth $1.01 per gallon and expired at the end of 2017. Sen. Grassley and Sen. Wyden had earlier introduced S. 617 to extend the credit. The National Biodiesel Board is pressing House leaders for a multiyear extension.
