# Palm oil extends losses on EU rule, weaker soyoil | The Star

> Crude palm oil prices fell for a second day after the European Union published rules restricting palm oil use in biofuels, with certification requirements taking effect June 10. Chicago soybean oil and Bursa Malaysia palm futures also declined, with palm closing down 1.9% at RM2,017 a tonne.
