# European Union Exempts Leather from Anti-Deforestation Regulations

> The European Commission adopted a Delegated Act that updates the scope of the EU Deforestation Regulation, removing cattle hides, skins and leather along with several non-agricultural products. It added soluble coffee, certain palm oil derivatives and frozen cattle tongues, which will be covered from December 30, 2027.
