# Beef prices might go up

> Rabobank says New Zealand farmgate beef prices could rise over the coming months because of favourable export conditions and tight domestic supply. Chinese demand is strong while US imports of beef are priced above last year. Exports to China rose sharply from May to July while exports to the US fell.
