# Indonesia extends suspension of palm oil export levies

> Indonesia will not collect palm oil export levies until 1 January 2020, delaying a scheduled October start after the reference price reached about US$574.9 per tonne. The delay follows a directive from the president over concerns about farmer incomes. The levies fund biodiesel programme development, palm research and smallholder replanting.
