# CN Rail strike comes at 'probably the worst time' in Thunder Bay shipping season | CBC News

> More than 3,000 CN conductors, trainpersons and yard workers walked off the job, halting CN's network nationwide. Thunder Bay's port authority said about 20 per cent of its grain arrives by CN, and the impact would depend on how long the strike lasts. CN had moved nearly 80,000 tonnes of grain weekly to the port in recent weeks.
