# Higher biodiesel appetite pushes demand

> Kenanga Investment Bank raised its 2019-2020 CPO price forecast to RM2,100-2,400 per tonne and upgraded the plantation sector to Neutral. Planned B30 in Indonesia and B20 in Malaysia would add about 3.6 million tonnes of CPO consumption. Chinese demand for palm oil as a soybean oil substitute is also rising amid African swine fever and reduced US soybean imports.
