> Chinese buyers purchased at least 20 cargoes of Brazilian soybeans for delivery when the new harvest arrives early 2020, as uncertainty over the US trade deal prompted them to lock in supplies. About 30 cargoes total were booked including some US and Argentine. Chinese crushers nearly exhausted a 10-million-tonne tariff-free US quota, and without more waivers US beans may struggle against Brazil.
