# JRC MARS Bulletin - Crop monitoring in Europe, February 2020, Vol. 28 No 2: Very mild winter conditions continue

> The JRC MARS February 2020 bulletin reports that 1 January to 10 February was warmer than usual across Europe, with record warmth in parts of France and the North Sea, Baltic and eastern European regions. Winter cereal frost hardening is weaker than normal in Germany, Poland, the Baltics, Ukraine, south-western Russia and the British Isles, while Mediterranean areas and the northern Iberian peninsula face precipitation deficits.
