# Strong future markets seen for Canadian oat crops

> An oats expert told the Croposphere conference in Saskatoon that higher seeded oat acreage this spring will increase supply and dampen prices. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada estimated a 9% rise in oat acres to 3.39 million, the largest since 2008, partly from unharvested canola being reseeded to oats.
