# USDA: Mixed 2020 farm outlook on small export increase, record production | 2020-02-20  | Agri-Pulse Communications, Inc.

> USDA's Chief Economist Rob Johansson said at the Agricultural Outlook Forum that farmers are expected to produce record meat, milk and major crops in 2020. Exports are projected to rise about 3% to $139.5 billion for fiscal 2020, with China exports forecast at $14 billion, still well below phase-one commitments. Corn and some other commodity prices are expected to fall or stay flat.
