> China made several large purchases of US grain in the week before March 24, including over 750,000 metric tons of corn and about 1 million metric tons of sorghum, plus 340,000 metric tons of wheat. Wheat rose from under $5 to over $5.50 per bushel after the purchase, according to CME figures.
