# Bunge: China's herd of pigs is building up faster than

> Bunge said at its annual press conference that demand for protein feed from China is rising because large new pig fattening farms are rebuilding herds faster than expected. Imports of soybeans and soybean meal are increasing as a result. Bunge expects about $100 million more profit in 2020 than in 2019.
