# Wastage due to Improper Storage | Udaipur Kiran

> FCI reported that foodgrain losses in its godowns over three years were small, at 0.027, 0.05 and 0.02 lakh tonnes for 2017-18 to 2019-20. A minister told the Lok Sabha that no wheat or non-basmati rice was exported from central pool stocks in the past year or so. A strategic reserve of 20 lakh tonnes of rice and 30 lakh tonnes of wheat is held for drought contingencies.
