# Higher blending mandate to help offset EU’s lower palm oil demand, says biodiesel association – The European Times

> The Malaysian Biodiesel Association said that higher biodiesel blends, such as Indonesia's planned B40 and Malaysia's B30, can offset weaker palm oil demand from the EU. It expects palm exports to the EU to fall faster than the pace set by the EU Renewable Energy Directive II. The comments were made at the POTS Digital 2021 conference.
