# Increased pressure fundamentals launched down the wheat markets

> Better Northern Hemisphere weather and weaker demand pushed US and European wheat futures lower, with CBOT SRW down $3.67/t and KC HRW down $2.11/t. Paris May milling wheat fell 2.5 euros to 218.5 euros per tonne. Importers have been refusing expensive wheat, and French exports to China face quality and phytosanitary hurdles.
