# Canada’s oilseed production expected to increase 6%  | World Grain

> The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service expects Canadian oilseed production to rise 6 percent to 26.58 million tonnes in 2021-22, mainly from more canola area and better yields. Canola beginning stocks are projected to fall to about 700,000 tonnes, 2.4 million tonnes below the prior year. Total oilseed exports are forecast to fall 7 percent.
