# Ukraine may restrict the import of fertilizers from Belarus

> Ukrainian chemical producers have asked the Ministry of Economy to restrict nitrogen-phosphorus and potash imports from Belarus. The request follows US sanctions on Belarusian firms Grodno Azot and Belneftekhim, which have pushed more Belarusian fertilizer into Ukraine. Belarusian fertilizer exports to Ukraine doubled in May and June compared with April.
