# Feeding: The way is clear for animal meal

> The EU Commission confirmed that the deadline for Parliament or Council to veto its delegated act had passed, clearing the way for meat-and-bone meal to be fed again to pigs and poultry under controls. Publication in the EU Official Journal is planned for the end of August, and insect meal feeding will also be authorised.
