## Why it matters

Outbreaks in Japan and South Korea can trigger import restrictions and reduce domestic egg and poultry supply, supporting demand for imported poultry feed ingredients and meat. The effect on grain and meal prices is modest because the affected flocks are small relative to global feed use.
