# Advanced BioFuels USA – Brazil to No Longer Hold Biodiesel Auctions as of January

> Brazil will stop holding biodiesel auctions from January 2022 and move to direct-sales contracts. The CNPE kept the biodiesel blend at 10% for all of 2022 instead of rising to 14%, citing high soybean prices. Platts reports that Brazil's FOB soybean oil basis is now lower than Argentina's.
