# Grain market review: Coarse grains prices mixed | World Grain

> USDA's January 12 WASDE cut its 2021-22 global coarse grain production forecast by 1.6 million tonnes, with lower corn output for Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, the EU and Paraguay partly offset by Ukraine. The IGC reported its maize price index up 4% since November, and the nearby US March corn futures rose 3%.
