# Meat giant seizes on tech to boost product yield

> Dawn Meats and Dunbia are adopting Elemental's protein and fat recovery technology, which the company says can capture up to 15% more human food product per carcass. The technology is also meant to cut supply-chain greenhouse gas emissions.

## Why it matters

Recovering more food product from carcasses could reduce the volume of meat and bone meal and fats going to renderers, a small long-run tightening for feed ingredients.
