# CRU comments on all-time high fertilizer prices | World Fertilizer

> CRU's Chris Lawson says fertilizer prices have reached a record high because of the war in Ukraine and disrupted trade flows, with Russia and Belarus together providing about 40% of traded potash. Nitrogen fertilizer prices have risen fourfold since the start of 2020, and phosphate and potash prices have more than tripled. Gas curtailments in Europe are further constraining production.
