# Export of sunflower products from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan is 20% more profitable than the supply of oilseeds

> Kazakhstan exported roughly 82,100 tonnes of sunflower seed, 70,200 tonnes of oil and about 86,000 tonnes of meal to Uzbekistan in 2021/22, earning over $164 million. Processed product exports earned about 21% more per tonne of seed than seed exports. Uzbekistan's crude vegetable oil imports for 2022 are projected to double to 167,400 tonnes.
