# Disruption charge for non-self-propelled vessels | GAC

> From 1 January 2023 the Panama Canal applies disruption charges to non-self-propelled vessels such as dead tows and dead ships, on top of tolls. Charges range from $15,000 for low-impact disruptions to $250,000 for high-impact cases on neopanamax vessels.
