# Wasde: Tighter supply outlooks as global wheat output returns to norms - Fastmarkets

> Fastmarkets reports the May WASDE raised global wheat ending stocks for 2022-23 to 266.28 million tonnes and put 2023-24 global stocks at 264.3 million tonnes, above analyst expectations. US wheat production was forecast at 1.66 billion bushels on lower yields and higher abandonment in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, with 2023-24 US ending stocks at 556 million bushels.
