# Rolled higher up: Taking stock of Canadian oats - Statistics Canada

> Statistics Canada reports that combined farm and commercial oat stocks at July 31, 2023 were 1.3 million tonnes, nearly four times the level a year earlier. The increase followed higher 2022 production, and oat exports rose 16.2% to 2.7 million tonnes over the same period.
