# US dollar weakens as Fed rate cut view weighs

> The US dollar weakened as expectations for Fed rate cuts grew. The dollar index slipped 0.2% to 103.20 and was headed for a monthly loss of more than 3%, its worst monthly performance since November 2022. Rate futures showed about a 23% chance of an easing move as early as March.
