# Warm spring weather benefitted crops in most of Europe - Joint Research Centre

> The JRC MARS April bulletin reported exceptionally warm spring temperatures across most of Europe from early March to mid April. Warm weather and adequate water supported winter crops and sowing of spring cereals, and the EU yield forecast was revised up for durum wheat, spring barley and triticale in the Iberian Peninsula. Overly wet conditions in north-western Europe, and drought in parts of the south, still limited yield potential.
