Malaysian production for June 1-20 was forecast to fall 6.3% from a year earlier, and exports for June 1-25 fell 16-17% from May. India also allowed limited duty-free imports of several edible oils and other products under a tariff-rate quota.

## Why it matters

Lower Malaysian output forecasts and weaker exports tighten near-term palm supply, which supports prices. India's TRQ import allowances add some offsetting import flexibility.
