# USDA analysts lowered sunseed crop forecast

> The August WASDE lowered the 2024/25 global sunseed harvest by 2.3 million tonnes to 52.5 million, with cuts for Ukraine, the EU and Russia. Global sunseed processing was reduced by 2.15 million tonnes, and Ukraine's ending stocks fell to the lowest since 2020/21.
