# Fed interest cuts ease pressure on Vietnam forex market

> Analysts say the Federal Reserve's 50 basis point rate cut should ease pressure on the Vietnamese dong and give the State Bank of Vietnam room to loosen policy. The VND/USD rate at commercial banks had fallen to between VND24,740 and VND24,860, after reaching a record high of 25,450 earlier this year.
