# China's pork output logs third year-on-year quarterly decline

> China's pork output in the third quarter fell 0.8% year on year to 12.59 million tonnes, the third straight annual quarterly decline. Hog slaughter for the first nine months fell 3.2%, and the herd at the end of September was 3.5% smaller. Cash hog prices fell to around a four-month low of 17.17 yuan per kg.
