# Rising dollar and rain forecasts weigh on US wheat

> Chicago SRW wheat futures fell 9.5 to 11.25 cents as the US dollar index rose and rain forecasts emerged for the southern Plains and eastern US. Russia's 2025/26 wheat area is expected to drop to 15.4 million hectares, the lowest since 2018/19, and Argentina's wheat forecast was cut to 18.8 million tonnes.
