# Larger grain harvest predicted for EU - Food & Agribusiness

> Coceral's first forecast for the 2025 crop puts the EU-27+UK total grain crop at 297.8 million tonnes, up about 20 million from 2024's 278.5 million. Wheat output is expected to rise from 125.5 to 140.4 million tonnes on higher area and a return to normal yields in Western Europe. Corn, barley and rapeseed are also forecast higher.
