# Tariffs to Artificial Intelligence, Dairy Market Faces a Number of Uncertainties

> Dairy analyst Robin Schmahl said tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China, which together take about 40% of US dairy exports, add uncertainty to dairy pricing. Butterfat dropped more than a dollar per hundredweight in two days after the 25% Canadian tariff was announced in early February. Tariff pauses for the northern and southern neighbors have not fully calmed markets.
