# Grain market review: Coarse grains | World Grain

> The IGC raised its maize output estimate by 4% over four weeks and noted progress at all key origins, while barley rose 6% and sorghum followed maize higher. The USDA's ERS cut its 2024-25 world coarse grains production forecast by 1.8 million tonnes to 1.492 billion, mainly on lower corn output for Brazil and Argentina. US maize export bids rose $11 per tonne to $226.
