# Fischer: Prices For Cattle Remain High

> USDA's April Cattle on Feed report showed the national herd smaller year over year, and cattle on feed beyond 150 days continued to grow. USDA analyst Anthony Fischer said fed cattle are selling at record prices, with March fed prices averaging nearly $208/cwt. March feeder steer prices were up roughly 12% from 2024.
